THE CHALLENGE

ENDING THE YEAR WITH A CHALLENGE

Can you believe we are coming to the end of this year? This year has literally flown by so quickly and so much has happened in the last year. I’ve moved cities, met some amazing people, and the best thing, I mustered up the courage to start this blog. I started this year determined to make it successful. I had to speak some things into existence, but most importantly I had to start and end my year with God firmly planted in my life. With my faith planted firmly in the Grace of God, I began to take on challenges I had dismissed for a long time. Some of these challenges I embarked on helped me confront past mistakes and deal with them. Some took me out of my comfort zone and some taught me how to deal with failure. I learnt to make peace with my past so it would not disturb my present or my future and failed my way to “success”.

It is only right, therefore, to complete the year with a challenge. For as long as I can remember I’ve loved to read. I would read anything I could get my hands on and at school, I was such a bookworm that I even got in trouble for reading in class.  I wish I could find my primary school report and show them to you right now!! If the book was really good and captured my imagination, I would finish it in a day. As I have gotten older, I have found myself reading less and less. I have become so consumed with work, socialising, travelling and other “adult” things.  I keep buying books with the intention of reading them but I rarely do. So the challenge is, drumroll please…………………. to read six of the books by 31 December 2017. This gives me roughly a week to read each book. What I love about this book selection is the diversity of topics from motivation and mindset, to Christianity, academics, relationships and entertainment.

Challenge to read six books at the end of the year
